Tempting Juliana
This book by author Lauren Royal starts out slow and boring but in the middle it actually gets interesting. The story is about Juliana Chase and Dr. James Trevor who is also the Earl of Stafford. Juliana’s friend Amanda is set up in an arranged marriage by her father to an older gentleman and Juliana decides to play matchmaker. She meets the Earl of Stafford at a party and decides he is the one for her friend.
James has recently lost his wife and child and being a doctor helps him to escape his hurt. He buries himself into his work barely having time to socialize. He meets Juliana at a party and he would rather be with her than her friend Amanda. He comes up with ways to be with Juliana. She offers to school him on wooing her friend and he jumps at the chance to be near Juliana. Throughout the schooling James is actually wooing Juliana while she is confused about her feelings and fights them.
This is the first book from Lauren Royal that I have read. I wasn’t impressed with the start. I was ready to quit reading until I got to the middle and things started getting started. Wasn’t really crazy about the characters, they were kind of boring. To get through the book was a painful struggle.
This is just my opinion….I do recommend giving this book a shot to see if your opinion differs from mine. This is the second book in Lauren Royal’s Sweet Temptations Trilogy.
Happy Reading!

The Sinful Nights Of A Nobleman
Another book from Jillian Hunter that didn’t disappoint me. It is the next story in the Boscastle series. It is full of great love and passion. Wonderful exciting characters from all of the series make this book my favorite of them all.
The characters Lord Devon Boscastle and Miss Jocelyn Lydbury are invited to a country party known for romantic trysts. Devon is looking for a night of passion with no strings attached and Jocelyn is looking for a marriage proposal from the man who is courting her. They are sent notes to meet in a secluded place. They are caught in a passionate position and are then forced to wed. Devon had always vowed never to marry but he was a gentleman and had to do the right thing. Jocelyn was terrified because she didn’t want a loveless marriage and she knew that being married to Devon meant endless affairs and mistresses. She decided that she was not going to deal with that so she came up with a plan to seduce her husband. He was totally. He couldn’t believe this young innocent debutante had so much passion and that she could bring him to his knees.
After reading this last book in the series I am looking forward to the next story about a Boscastle sibling. THE DEVILISH PLEASURES OF A DUKE is scheduled to come out sometime in the summer of 2007. This one is about Emma, the prudish and bossy elder sister of the family. If you have read all the other books in the series you will be familiar with Emma. HAPPY READING!

Shadow Game
This is the very first book in the game series by author Christine Feehan. If you have read my other posts you will know that I always read out of sequence when it comes to series. I found this book and had to have it.
This book is about Lily. Lily is the daughter of scientist Peter Whitney who experimented with psychic enhancing to an elite group of military men. After a few deaths including Dr. Whitney Lily doesn’t know who to trust. She has to rely on one of the men who were experimented on. Captain Ryland Miller is the leader of this squad and he helps Lily find out who is behind all the murders. While investigating they immediately fall for each other. The passion and fire between these two is red hot! Ryland is the strong macho man with a heart of gold and Lily is a smart independent woman who captures that heart.
This story is full of sinful loves scenes that will make you wish you were there. It has lots of psychic and supernatural encounters to go with the passion. I love how Christine Feehan can come up with these amazing ideas. It made me wish I had psychic abilities.
Amazing action, great story, exciting and real characters that you can fall in love with. My new favorite author….I totally loved this book!

The Widow And The Wastrel
This book is by Janet Dailey. The story is about Elizabeth, a seventeen year old girl about to marry Jeremy Carrel. Jeremy is the oldest son of a wealthy prominent family. During a dinner with Jeremy and his parents, Elizabeth meets Jed Carrel, the younger, wilder brother. Jed kisses Elizabeth and she never forgets. She marries and Jed goes off to live life abroad. A few years later Elizabeth is a mother and a widow and Jed comes back into her life…..
This is one of Janet Dailey’s older novels. I just loved this story. The characters were so full of life. Elizabeth is a strong surviving mother and Jed is a arrogant macho man but inside both are dying to be loved by the other.
Great storyline; wonderful characters; kept my attention; felt the emotions of the characters; talented author! I recommend it!

The Wicked Games Of A Gentleman
This book by Jillian Hunter is part of the Boscastle series. This series is all about a family and their trials and triumphs with love. This book is the fourth in the series. I really enjoyed this book. It made me laugh so much. There were so many funny parts in it. Lord Drake is a great strong character. Living a life of wealth and privilege. He has no cares in the world. His only problem is who to pick next for his mistress. He has everything he needs except one thing……..love. On the night that he is to meet his new mistress Eloise comes into the picture. It starts with a meeting and a dance and he can’t get her out of his mind. He passes up his chance with a famous courtesan to be with Eloise. Everyone thinks he’s crazy and he is……….crazy in love..
Eloise is a lovely character who finds herself the attention of a rake. She doesn’t have time to deal with him because she is a companion to a young girl who is to be married soon and can’t seem to stay out of trouble. She dances with him even though she shouldn’t. Eloise feels the connection between them but knows she can’t be tempted by this dangerously handsome man. He would only break her heart and leave.
Of course circumstances throw them together and they slowly fall in love. I totally recommend this entire series to everyone. Jillian Hunter is a great writer with a wonderful sense of humor. I love reading a book when I can laugh and cry at the same time.
Check out the other books in this series: The Seduction of an English Scoundrel, The Love Affair of an English Lord, The Wedding Night of an English Rogue, The Wicked Games Of A Gentleman, and The Sinful Nights of a Nobleman.
The last book in this series is the next book I will read…

Every Breath You Take
This book is wonderful! Judith McNaught has outdone herself on this one. Kate and Mitchell are the characters. Kate is struggling to keep her dad’s restaurant in Chicago going after his death and Mitchell has just found out that he is from a wealthy prominent family from Chicago. Escaping all the chaos of their lives, they meet and slowly begin to fall in love. There is an investigation involving the disappearance of Mitchell’s brother and he is one of the suspects. Kate is confused about this man. Did she really know him? Could she trust him? Because of lies, secrets and other outside interference they are separated. Kate in Chicago, Mitchell retreats to Europe but somehow fate steps in and brings them back together and they realize that they are meant to be together.
This story is full of so many different little stories. All the characters, good and bad, come together and make this a very exciting believable novel. I can relate to all the characters. I love it when an author has such extraordinary talent that they make the characters so real. I really got wrapped up into these characters. I especially love when the hero is an arrogant sort of man who doesn’t need anything or anyone until he meets the heroine. I love to see the hard men turned to soft mush when they fall in love and realize that they do need someone and that the other character is who they need.
This book by Judith McNaught gets four ****stars in my book. She is a great author and I recommend her to anyone who enjoys a great love story.
